Besharat Gallery presents a special exhibition celebrating contemporary photography and a variety of photo technology. Join us for Art Stroll to see the entire range of current photographer and their abilities. World renown photographer Steve McCurry brought photo journalism and travel photography to an entirely new level. The free spirit of traveling can be summarized in his words, “My life is shaped by the urgent need to wander and observe, and my camera is my passport,” bringing the world a breathtaking series of shots from all over the globe. Another artistic approach is demonstrated in the idealistic photo-realism of Parish Kohanim with elegant balances of color, silhouettes frozen in timeless space; eternal beauty, the “idea” of beauty, hidden in the nature. The silence and serenity of Parish Kohanim stands in contrast with the fragmented and shifting photo collages by Giovanni Lunardi. Lunardi’s creative work allows us to experience dynamics within two dimensional photo-space: the little fragments of the pictures flies around the main depiction, visualizing the movement itself. Spanish artist Luis Barba is known for his sharp and uncommon pop art works, showing the great knowledge of art history, politics and trends of today’s consumer society. Luis Barba has mastered photo and digital technology to arrange epic meetings of past and present, of Spider Man and Paris Hilton with Diego Rivera and Pieter Breughel, to create a new intellectual space, full of ironical hints. Finally, with the use of digital photo editing technologies, our attention is brought to Thierry Mutin, the prophet of “post-human art,” inviting us to glance in the future of civilization.
